I just want to thank you and your site for bringing wonderful amounts of inspiration to me. I am a graphic designer

who has always loved photography, but never had the financial means of deeply pursuing the hobby.

I have found means of pursuing night photography on a low budget with my digital camera, a Sony DSC-W1. I
only have a maximum shutter speed of 30 seconds, but I make due. I use multiple flashlights and some homemade
color gel filters to get the light painting effect. I am gradually honing my skills and want to someday invest in a better

camera to expand my abilities. These shots are from an abandoned farm in Wisconsin that lies in the middle of the

woods. There are so many structures on this land that I could spend my whole summer there working at night.
